Volunteer Opportunities for the 11th Hallo-Wine Fall Festival!

Plans are well underway for our Hallo-Wine 2018 fundraising event in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness month. The date is set for Saturday, Oct 20 at the Burnham House (3565 7th Ave, San Diego, CA 92103). Check the volunteer opportunities below and get ready for the fun and joy of changing lives!

Set Up 10:30am – 1:30pm (Full!)

Help setup silent auction items, wine cellar pull, soda/water table, put out trash bins, support vendor load-in, put linens and centerpieces on tables, and other support as needed.

Check In/Check Out 2:00pm – 6:30pm (Full!)

Welcome and check in guests into the Greater Giving system. Hand out tasting cups to guests. When registration is complete, will transition into check-out table. Check out the guests can as they pick up/pay for their silent auction items.

Wine Cellar 2:00pm – 6:30pm (Full!)

Guests can buy an anonymous bottle of wine. Volunteers will assist in pulling the wine and facilitate the wine cellar. At event end, clear tables and chairs, take trash out, put linens in a pile, break down boxes, items not sold need to go in Home Start van, break down pop-up tents, clean up venue as needed.

Silent Auction 2:00pm – 6:30pm

Encourage guests to make bids and answer any questions they have about the baskets, and ensure items do not get stolen. When Silent Auction closes, will transition to runners, bringing the baskets to the winners. At event end, clear tables and chairs, take trash out, put linens in a pile, break down boxes, items not sold need to go in Home Start van, break down pop-up tents, clean up venue as needed.

Vendor Support 2:00pm – 6:30pm

Provide support to vendors (pouring drinks, serving food, getting ice, etc.). At event end, clear tables and chairs, take trash out, put linens in a pile, break down boxes, items not sold need to go in Home Start van, break down pop-up tents, clean up venue as needed.
