Home Start is pleased to announce that our wonderful CEO, Laura A. Tancredi-Baese, LCSW is a 2017 recipient of the prestigious Cal Wellness Sabbatical Program Award.
This will allow for Laura to take a 3-month sabbatical from her responsibilities at Home Start, beginning today. In her absence, Home Start’s executive team and Board of Directors will keep things humming along.
Laura is very much looking forward to time with family, catching up on some reading, traveling, and learning the ukulele.
The Cal Wellness Sabbatical Program Awards were established in 2003 to keep burnout, stress, and fatigue from undermining the effectiveness of leaders of nonprofit health organizations.The statewide program provides grants that allow executive directors to spend between 3-6 months away, relaxing and rejuvenating to return with renewed energy and dedication.
We applaud Laura as a deserving honoree of this sabbatical and look forward to her return in late September.
