Home Start’s Support for Mari, Mother of Santana High Shooting Victim
Update 10/11/24: We are most grateful for the incredible outpouring of support for Mari. We are pleased to share that we have exceeded our financial goal for her fund, and at this time we are requesting a pause in donations. Mari's Case Manager and our team are working with her to evaluate next steps and longer-term housing options.
If Mari is in need of more funds again we will send out a notice once more.

Inspired by the outpouring of community support for Mari Gordan-Rayborn, mother of Santana High School shooting victim Randy Gordan, Home Start will be coordinating the collection of donations to support Mari on her journey to finding a permanent, stable home. Your donation will directly assist Mari and allow to her stay in a motel until the team at Home Start can assist her with securing permanent housing. We are grateful to the cities of Santee, El Cajon, and the entire San Diego County Community for reaching out to help Mari, and we look forward to updating you on her progress.
