Family Self-Sufficiency Services

Piggy Bank Saving Money

Family Self Sufficiency Services (FSS) offers a hand-up through a continuum of care to help move individuals and families towards self-sufficiency. Working from a strength-based perspective, each client is treated as a partner in the creation of individualized service plans designed to help them achieve self-sufficiency.

The program’s continuum of care includes:

  • Emergency Food
  • Nutrition Education
  • Benefits Application Assistance
  • Workforce Development support
  • Free tax consultation, education and preparation of financial literacy services year-round

The Family Self Sufficiency program has two offices in San Diego County:

Central Region
City Heights Community Center

East Region
