Though Father's Day was last weekend, we have a special story highlighting one exceptional dad who is on the road to a happy and healthy life with his son after learning key parenting skills from our Community Services for Families (CSF) Program.
Sean is a teen dad to one-year-old Noah. At the beginning of Sean's journey with parenting services, he faced personal challenges that impacted his grades, his relationships with his parents, and most critically - the relationship with his son. We're proud of Sean for being open to receive services, and how positive and interactive he was with our curriculum.
Sean says, "I wanted to work on my coping skills as a parent and learn how to care for Noah when he would wake up in the middle of the night."
After completing CSF's SafeCare Curriculum, Sean was able to understand the importance of talking to and interacting with Noah. From playing on the playground to practicing colors - Sean says he had an "aha!" moment where everything clicked.
Now, Sean is continuing his role as an active and invested dad in Noah's life and is providing a safe and loving environment for his little family.
Way to go, Sean! We're proud of all you accomplished and can't wait to see you and Noah grow!
