Meet Carlos Gomez, our new Director of Grants Strategy and Management. With a BA in Political Science from UCLA, Carlos comes to us with more than ten years of experience in grant development and management.
Starting as a volunteer grant writer for a small nonprofit, he advanced his career to serve in manager and director-level positions at some of the most prominent nonprofits in San Diego. With a proven track record of success in securing grants of all sizes and from various sources, Carlos is experienced in obtaining single- and multi-year awards, as well as public and private contracts, for homeless service providers, children's and family services, and youth development programs.
Outside of work, Carlos enjoys spending time with his children and family, cheering for the Padres at Petco Park, and capturing the subtleties of urban life as an amateur photographer.
