When I first joined this program, in September last year, I was pregnant with nowhere to go, feeling lost. I had just lost my dad to an overdose. My mom and I never had a great relationship, so I felt alone in the world, searching for a safe place for my child and me.
Then, I found Home Start. And ever since, Home Start has been providing for me and blessing me. I didn't have to lift a finger my whole pregnancy.
They helped with transportation to doctor's appointments. They helped get everything my daughter needed, like diapers, wipes, and clothing. They've been the biggest blessing I could ever ask for. And as I'm exiting the program now, I am just so thankful. I'm leaving with a two-bedroom, two-bath, and a healthy six-month-old daughter.
I am so beyond thankful and blessed for Home Start. Because honestly, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them.
I wouldn't be in the position I am. I wouldn't be as strong-minded or just be proud of myself the way I am today if it wasn't for Home Start. They built so much in me.
I want to thank you guys. Thank everyone who helps people like me. I appreciate everything Home Start does. It doesn't go unnoticed. I'm very thankful for every single one of you. -Aire'
