The 13th Annual Virtual Hallo-Wine Fall Festival
Saturday, October 24, 2020
This year’s Hallo-Wine is a little different, but still delicious.
You’ll enjoy a virtual fun and safe afternoon with the Home Start family of supporters.
Best of all, every dollar you donate for your box of Hallo-Wine goodies helps Home Start serve victims of domestic violence in recognition of National Domestic Violence Prevention month, and provides services to local families affected by COVID-19.
Here’s how it works – you’ll get a Hallo-Wine box in advance, and then you’ll experience food and beverage tastings from a variety of Home Start’s vendor partners, while participating in an optional interactive Zoom call. Can’t watch live? We’ll have the video available on our website later.
Here’s what the 4:30 PM Zoom call offers:
- Interactive tastings led by vendor partners. You’ll learn about locally crafted cider, wine, specialty cocktails, and beer. Vendors include: Bekker’s Catering, Bivouac Ciderworks, Glendalough Distillery, The University Club Atop Symphony Towers, and more!
- A message from a Home Start client
- Game show-style trivia rounds. Learn about Home Start and prove your trivia prowess. Fabulous prizes, too!

The Hallo-Wine Fall Festival is held every October in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. All proceeds raised provide critical assistance to San Diego’s most vulnerable children and families through Home Start’s programs. Each day, our staff serve on the front lines in the battle to prevent child abuse and ensure children’s safety, healthy development and a thriving family.
